So maybe this Xbench score is actually fairly quantifying the increased performance effect of an SSD drive! For example a 2.0ghz cpu laptop with an SSD drive may feel as fast as a computer with a 2.2 or 2.4ghz cpu & a traditional hard drive. On the other hand.many reviews have said that the SSD drives in computers make them seem much faster than the computers cpu ghz level would indicate. So I don't know.maybe the individual scores in Xbench would need to be rebalanced (as well as Xbench only supports up to 4 cores, not 6, 8, or 12-core Mac Pro's). I'm thinking that in some small way an SSD maybe a bit unfair.since someone in this thread said that the last time Xbench was rewritten was 2006.before SSD drives were commonly available (or maybe not at all). ![]()
